Do I need to connect my Instagram or TikTok account?+
No. You add a competitor by pasting their public @handle — there is no Instagram or TikTok login anywhere in ViralSpy, and it never follows, posts or interacts with any account. The only account you sign into is your own ViralSpy one.
How does ViralSpy know a video is going viral?+
ViralSpy picks up every new post from the accounts you track and watches its views come in. When a video pulls far ahead of that account's usual performance, it's flagged as a spike. Slower trends, like an account getting steadily more views week over week, show up in the “Who's heating up” chart on your Today page before they turn into a breakout.
